Reservation Conditions

Deposit: A deposit of 300 Euros per person is payable to your travel agent or Holiday Australia within seven days of confirmation of your holiday. Travel agents can forward deposits and other payments on your behalf, but shall not be deemed to be received by or on behalf of Holiday Australia until actual payment and the issue by Holiday Australia of a receipt, not withstanding the fact that monies owed may have been paid to an accredited travel agent.

Balance Of Payment: The balance of the holiday cost is due 30 days prior to the departure date. Full fare is due for all bookings made less than 30 days before the departure date. It is the sole responsibility of passengers to forward tour payment by the due date.

Cancelation Fees: In the event of cancellation the following levies will apply:

  • 30  days or more - refund of deposit in full  
  • 30 - 25 days or more - 100 Euros per person
  • 25 - 14 days - 50% of the tour price
  • 13 - 7 days - 80% of the tour price
  • less than 7 days - 100% of the tour price

Refunds: No refund will be made if you fail to join the tour on the departure date, or leave it prior to completion. No refund can be made in respect of costs for flights, both international and domestic, bus travel, accommodation, separate tours or any other services which are included in the Holiday Australia tour and not utilised by the passenger.

Special Conditions

  1. Airfare Conditions: As pre-booked domestic flights are included in this tour package, it is essential that bookings be made at least 30 days prior to the scheduled tour departure date. Bookings made less than 30 days prior to the scheduled tour departure date may be subject to variation and availability of the applicable fare class. A surcharge may apply to bookings made less than 40 days prior to departure. We recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment.
  2. Minimum Numbers: A minimum number of bookings are required to operate a tour and also to ensure an enjoyable group atmosphere. Where sufficient numbers cannot be achieved, Holiday Australia reserves the right to cancel a scheduled tour departure date. The decision to operate the tour is usually made 30 days prior to the scheduled tour departure date, however in some instances, this decision may not be available until 25 days prior to the departure date.
  3. Cancellation Policy: the day of the the Where a tour is cancelled prior to the departure date, we shall endeavour to offer the nearest possible alternative tour or, if this is not acceptable, refund your monies in full.
  4. Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may arise. ( including, but not limited to health, baggage, loss of monies through cancellation, additional expenses incurred through illness or personal liability prior to travel and early return following death of a relative )
  5. Responsibility: Holiday Australia and / or its Associated Agents, accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in air, motor, steamer, train or other services, sickness, weather, strikes or other causes. All such losses will have to be borne by the passenger.

Where Holiday Australia does not operate the tour, attractions, excursions and / or optional tours
Of the ( hereinafter called the "Tour Inclusion" ) which may be included in the tour itinerary or associated with the tour, we shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury occasioned to any person or property as a result of any such Tour Inclusion undertaken during the tour whatsoever or howsoever the same may be caused whether as a result of negligence or otherwise.

General Conditions

This tour involves travel in outback areas and therefore the tour of operator-driver reserves the right to cancel, alter, amend or modify the itinerary or accommodation as necessitated by weather, road or other operational conditions at the time.

Any personal expense incurred by a passenger as a result of any delay, alteration or curtailment of any tour, whether caused by mechanical defect, flooding or any other cause are the responsibility of the passenger.

The tour operator-driver has the right to disembark any passengers whose conduct seriously inconveniences or jeopardises the enjoyment of others. In this instance, all accommodation and further travel included in the tour will be cancelled. Holiday Australia accepts no liability for such action or any loss incurred and refunds are not payable.

Holiday Australia is unable to guarantee exact arrival and departure times and is not liable for any failure to make connections with any other service.

Smoking & Drinking Policy: Australia Government regulations prohibit smoking or the consumption of alcohol inside the tour vehicle. There will be ample stops during the day to enable smoking outside.

Seat Rotation: A daily seat rotation is used to ensure that all passengers have the opportunity to enjoy window seats. Reserved seating is not available.

Luggage: Each passenger is entitled to take one suitcase - weight limit 20 kilos. You should also have a small day bag or pack which you can carry on walks and tours. Baggage over the prescribed limit cannot be carried

Outback Conditions: Being able to cope with hot dusty conditions and remoteness in the outback is essential. Persons who suffer from lack of tolerance or are not of general good health should not consider going on an extended tour.

What to Wear and Bring: We will travel through various climate zones on this tour. In the south and the outback it will be winter time so it may be mild during the day and cold at night. As we travel from the south to the north the temperatures will increase.

A jacket and warm clothes for the cold weather are advisable along with swimwear, shorts, a hat and sun protection and sun glasses for the outback and tropical north. Clothing should be causal and footwear comfortable. Although we will be doing some walks, hiking boots will not be needed.

Laundry facilities are available en route. If you want to use personal electric appliances you may need to bring an adapter.

Note: If you need special medication, it is advisable to bring your own adequate supply for the duration of the trip.

Don't forget to bring your video or camera with plenty of film and spare batteries and your favourite music for the bus.
